The Verbatim Store 'n' Go 16 GB V3 USB 3.0 Drive 49172 comes in a multitude of color combos, perhaps to help users who have more than one of the drives keep track of what content it holds. It is fast on the fly, transferring big files with ease and speed, so much so that I found I really did not have time to get going on another task before this USB 3.0 drive was done.
The drive itself could use a bit of fine-tuning. It is sort of blah-looking, small enough to easily misplace, and feels a bit, well, cheap is the word that comes to mind. I've found that pushing straight down on the sliding gray clip (or blue, yellow, green depending on the color combo you have) is the only easy way to open it. Trying to open by pressing along the edge of the slider is frustrating.
I still look for that alien-inspired USB symbol to tell me which end is the top, and I don't like having to eye ball the end of the drive to figure out which way is up.
